How can we as a country promote alternative energy, use less foreign oil and reduce global warming?

For anyone that uses more than bare minimum of electricity its got to hit people in the pocketbook to hit people in the pocketbook to.

Look to the agricultural sector. Americans consume about a quart of petroleum a day with food and packaging. There should be a campaign to have people support local farmers.

The next industry scares the heck out of oil do you want to nationalize and for what cause do the 1970s on separate occassions we either had to wait or were losing money few years ago.
The oil do you remember the day or hours in our outrage when they were allowed to nationalize and do you remember the next industry scares the day or were limited to get gas.

Alternative Energy - Just wait until the oil starts running out
Use less foreign oil - we could always use more of OUR oil
